Honeywell HON stock rose 2% Wednesday morning after introducing an AI system built with technology from Nvidia NVDA and Dell Technologies DELL, targeting building operators and industrial sites seeking to anticipate equipment faults and manage energy use.
Called Forge Cognition, the platform pairs AI agents with digital twins, virtual models of physical facilities, to interpret equipment data and test possible operating changes. It can sort alarms, flag heating and cooling systems for maintenance and help teams adjust energy use. Operators can choose how much control to delegate, with the ability to override automated actions.
Early trials span Nvidia's Voyager campus in California, a Dubai hotel, a Singapore mall, Vanderbilt University and Honeywell locations in India and Texas. At Voyager, Honeywell reported up to 90% fewer unnecessary alerts and identified potential energy and utility savings of as much as 10%, while maintaining a comfort score above 95%.
The company did not disclose pricing, deployment costs or a revenue forecast. Customers can begin evaluating the system now, with further features planned. Honeywell shares rose about 2% in Tuesday morning trading, a day before the product release.
